We are committed to making Junction 1, Glasgow an enjoyable and inclusive experience for everyone.
We are a brand-new venue and have been working closely with the charity ‘Attitude is Everything’, who improve Deaf and disabled people's access to live music by working in partnership with audience artists and the music industry to implement a Charter of Best Practice in the UK.
For use of the access facilities, we ask that you pre-register with us in advance of the event. This can be done by completing our Access Application Form.
Please note, the following facilities are for customers with permanent/long term access requirements and are not for any temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing wounds or pregnant women. This is an all-standing event. Chairs are not allowed into the site.
Our Junction 1 accessible guide with event-specific information will be sent out (via email) prior to the event to all confirmed applicants including arrival info, access maps, distances, access facilities and more. We recommend saving and printing a copy of the Access Guide for your own reference (once available). No hard copies will be available on-site.
PA / Carer Tickets
We offer a free PA ticket policy for eligible guests. The PA ticket is provided on the expectation that your PA is willing and able to assist you throughout your visit and would be available and able to help you in the event of an evacuation.
How do I apply?
Please do not book a ticket for your PA/carer as this will not be refunded if you are approved for a free ticket.
- Book the required number of ticket(s) (minus PA/carer).
- Then apply for your PA/carer ticket and submit the supporting documentation required using our Access Requirements Application Form here.
- You will then get confirmation of your free PA/carer ticket by return email.
PA/Carer Ticket Accepted Supporting Documentation:
- DLA/PIP - Front copy only
- A verifiable Medical Professional's letter
- Access Card
- deaf or blind registration
Please ensure your application and supporting documentation is submitted at least two weeks prior to the event date to allow our team adequate time to process. If we do not receive your documentation, then your application will not be fully processed, and we will not be able to guarantee the use of these facilities at the event.
We appreciate that these documents may not be applicable and/or available for every guest so, if you don’t have any of these documents, please let us know by emailing us.
There are designated accessible parking spaces available on site and within close proximity to the main entrance. Blue badge holders can apply for a parking space which are operated on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited spaces.
To gain access to this parking area, you must register in advance via our access application form here. We will send all parking permits out in advance. You must display this permit in your car upon arrival – entry will not be granted without this.
Junction 1’s outdoor event site underfoot is uneven and consists of a combination of gravel, and partial tarmac. As we all know, the Scottish weather dances to its own tune and we can often enjoy four seasons in one day, so as we prepare for all conditions, we do ask that you do too. Please consider the ground conditions when applying for what access you might require. We ask our guests to prepare for all weather and ground conditions as this could make some areas of the site inaccessible.
Main Stage Accessible Platforms
Accessible platforms are managed by a wristband and customer guestlist system via our designated Access Stewards.
The Accessible platform is seated only and uncovered. We do ask that you dress appropriately for the Scottish weather as umbrella’s are prohibited at the event to allow for optimum viewing for all platform guests.
The access platform has ramp access, and wheelchair accessible toilets close by.
As platforms have a limited capacity, these are strictly for access guests, plus one PA. Should you be attending in a party size larger than two persons, please let us know and we can check the availability of space directly in front of or to the side of the viewing platform, so the party is in close proximity to each other.
No smoking or e-cigarettes will be permitted on the accessible platform to allow for an enjoyable and comfortable experience for all.

We have accessible toilets available on site. Please refer to the map in your access pack (once available) for location or ask one of our stewards when on site.
‘CAN’T WAIT’ cards, we ask our toilet attendants and stewards to look out for these cards for quick access to the toilets
Bars & Food Service
There is accessible food & drink service available. Distances and locations will be provided in your access pack (once available), you can also speak to our stewards for information on site.
Should you require to store medication in Fridge, please let us know in advance of the event date and we can arrange this upon your arrival on site. We recommend bringing a copy of your doctor’s letter or prescription. Please keep medication in its original boxes. Please bring some form of ID with you as we will only be able to hand medication back to the named person or their PA.
There is a designated First Aid and Welfare area on site available to all guests. Please refer to site map (once available) for location or speak to one of our stewards.
Lasers & Strobe Use
Lasers, strobes and other lighting effects may be in use during the performances at the event. Please bear this in mind if you are affected by this.
We understand that a hidden disability is not immediately apparent. If you would like support or advice, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and mark for the attention of our Access Manager who will be able to assist you from there.
BSL Interpreting Services
We are currently unable to offer sign language as a service on any of our stages.
Hearing loops are currently not available.
We welcome any assistance dogs. Should you require dog spending area on site, please let us know via email prior to the event within a reasonable timeframe. Please email email@example.com for the attention of the Access Manager.
